Recovery Assistant 1 in YWCA YES! Recovery Housing Program
(Part-Time)
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a part-time, weekend recovery assistant to work Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Position provides a drug-free and safe environment and assists clients with their daily needs. Assistant will be cross-trained to assist in all housing programs.
Candidate must support the YWCA mission of eliminating racism and empowering women. Experience in a social service field is preferred. Top candidates will possess strong computer skills, including Excel.
Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, flexible, and possess a working knowledge of local agency resources. This position will work with diverse populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.
STARTING SALARY $16/hour

First Shift Family Advocate in Domestic Violence Shelter
(Full-time)
YWCA Evansville is seeking a first-shift family advocate for its domestic violence shelter who has experience working with individuals in crisis and case management skills. Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, flexible, and possess a working knowledge of local agency resources. Ideal candidate will also exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and the ability to facilitate a client class. Ideal candidate will possess critical thinking skills in order to handle crisis calls, determine if callers are appropriate for our shelter, and address any needs that arise during the shift. Previous social work background is desired. Candidate must have computer skills as the position requires entering case notes, online referrals and searches, email use, etc. This position will work with vulnerable populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.
Qualifications
Social work degree or certification preferred; experience in a social service field; communication skills, organizational skills, ability to coordinate tasks with full time and part time staff. Must have the ability to work with vulnerable populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensures direct services are recorded accurately within appropriate databases;
· Enters client information in database systems including crisis calls;
· Take crisis calls;
· Provides orientation and intake services for individuals entering housing;
· Provides services to all clients as needed;
· Completes daily floor/room check and, where warranted, completes Repair Reports;
· Provides services to all clients as needed, including referrals to other shelters, medication assistance and transportation assistance;
· Confers regularly with supervisor;
· Attends a minimum of 10 hours of professional development conferences and workshops as recommended by supervisor;
· Coordinates client security and emergency response and follows emergency procedures;
· Maintains confidentiality;
· Demonstrates initiative and responsibility;
· Assisting with front desk duties as needed;

Youth Program Assistant in Live Y’ers Program
(Part-Time)
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a part-time Youth Program Assistant to work with the YWCA’s afterschool program for at-risk girls and mentoring program for middle school and high school students. This position is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday during the school year.
Ideal candidate will have experience working with youth from vulnerable families and ability to work well with volunteers. It’s a plus if candidate feels comfortable driving a 15-passenger van and possesses a clean driving record.

Shelter Assistant in Domestic Violence Shelter
(Part-Time - Weekend Nights)
YWCA Evansville is seeking applicants for a part-time, weekend night shelter assistant to work Saturday and Sunday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. Position provides an abuse-free and safe environment, assistance with daily needs, and referrals for survivors of domestic violence and their children. Assistant will be cross-trained to assist in all housing programs.
Ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team player, flexible, and possess an eagerness to learn more about social services. Ideal candidate will also exhibit good written and verbal communication skills, good organizational skills, and attention to detail. This position will work with vulnerable populations and interact with clients and staff in a sensitive, non-judgmental open-minded manner.
STARTING SALARY $16/hour plus $2/hour overnight shift differential
